Yesterday I wrote up an article titled, Small Bank Opportunities. Today I am buying regional banks using a weighted basket approach.
I am not a fan of Bill Ackman but I agree with his thesis on bank stocks here

Ackman thinks regional bank stocks are a good buy. He also goes to explain that he believes Warren Buffett is a buyer here. He is probably right. Regional bank stocks across the board are bleeding red. Some down over 70%.
As you all know, I invest in tiny publicly traded companies. I like them small and obscure. Regional bank stocks are not small or obscure. But they are down a significant amount and I want to get greedy.
Because I don’t know the names well I allocated a percent of my portfolio to buy seven names. I didn’t do analysis on the names. I don’t know what assets or liabilities they own. But when things are down this much I get extremely interested and I think owning stuff that is down 70% here tends to work out.
